Hi everyone!!!! As you all know, Susan Boyle's my favorite singer on the planet so I thought I'd give my own little review of the songs on her bestselling CD "I Dreamed a Dream"
1) Wild Horses - Susan's beautiful vocals in this song show off her range and touches the deepest part of my soul... sends chills up and down my spine each time I listen to it
2) I Dreamed a Dream - Susan's signature song which she makes into her own... beautiful music and lyrics... Susan sings this song with great passion and emotion
3) Cry Me a River - very nice and sultry sound to it.. sung in a nightclub singer's style
4) How Great Thou Art - has a peaceful and soothing feel, sung very reflectively
5) You'll See - Susan sings this song referring to the teachers who beat her and the classmates who bullied her in school. Susan shows her determination in proving herself that she is strong and determined to overcome
6) Daydream Believer - has a ballad style to it, almost like a soothing lullaby
7) Up to the Mountain - shows Susan's versatility in this gospel song where she sings it like she's been singing gospel her entire life.. kind of reminds you of the soulful black church choirs
8) Amazing Grace - very stirring and arousing to the soul...
9) Who I Was Born to Be - very moving and touching which explains Susan's life.. an original song written for Susan by Audra Mae
10) Proud - a song that kind of sums up Susan's relationship with her mother and how she promised her mother she would be something and make her proud.. The way Susan belts this song is very moving
11) End of the World - very beautifully sung and brings a tear to my eye.. Susan's ability to convey emotion makes you feel what she's feeling
12) Silent Night - very calm and peaceful the way it should be
